Akbar Mosque offers a dedicated Nikah service for Muslim couples seeking to perform their marriage in accordance with Islamic tradition. All Nikahs are conducted by the mosque’s authorized scholars. If requested and available, the ceremony may be led by IMAM .

Step-by-Step Process to Schedule a Nikah

- Arrange a meeting with the family
- Review the event flow and expectations
- Provide a family information form to be completed promptly
- Approval Notification: After review, the family will be informed whether the Nikah has been approved and formally scheduled.
Rules & Policies for Hosting Nikah at Akbar Mosque
To maintain the sanctity of the Nikah and ensure Islamic guidelines are followed, the following policies apply:
- Authorized Scholars Only: Only Akbar Mosque’s religious staff may conduct the Nikah. No outside imams or speakers are permitted.
- No Meals or Refreshments: No meals or refreshments may be served. However, sealed boxed sweets may be distributed from the lobby area.
- Dress Code (Strictly Enforced):
- All guests — including non-Muslims and photographers — must wear modest, respectful attire.
- Clothing that is sheer, short (such as skirts), or revealing is not allowed.
- Anyone in violation will be asked to leave without exception.
- No Music or Nasheed: No music, instruments, or nasheeds (live or recorded) are allowed during the event.
- Gender Segregation: Men and women must remain in separate areas. The mosque will provide proper seating.
- Time Restrictions: Events must begin and end within the booked duration. Time limits are strictly enforced.
- Decor Restrictions: External decorative items like flower curtains, stage setups, or cultural entrances are not allowed inside the mosque.
- No Mixed Gatherings: Men and women may not gather in entrances, halls, or lobbies.
- Right to Deny Services: Akbar Mosque reserves the right to refuse or cancel any Nikah request, with or without stated reason.
- Time Allocation: The mosque’s main hall will be reserved for exactly 60 minutes from your scheduled start time.
